Sentosa and Pulau Brani get a joint master plan
The Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) unveiled a master plan on 20 September 2019 to redevelop Sentosa and neighbouring Pulau Brani together as one leisure destination, in phases over the following two to three decades.

The Sentosa-Brani Master Plan treats Sentosa and Pulau Brani, the port island between Sentosa and the mainland, as a single leisure destination. SDC announced it a month after the 2019 National Day Rally, where the government outlined its plans for the Greater Southern Waterfront, the stretch of coastline being freed up as the port moves west to Tuas.
The plan divides the two islands into five zones, which become more relaxed the further they are from the city. They are the Vibrant Cluster, the Island Heart, the Waterfront, the Ridgeline and the Beachfront. SDC said the plan would be carried out in phases over two to three decades.
The first project named was Sentosa Sensoryscape, a landscaped walkway linking Resorts World Sentosa in the north of the island to the beaches in the south. It was due for completion in 2022 and opened in March 2024.
Seven years later, in July 2026, SDC replaced this plan with the broader Greater Sentosa Master Plan.
